Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

I have learned so much from being pregnant. It is amazing to me that I don't have to think about fingers, toes, heart, lungs for them to grow. God is doing all the work.

It is often quoted that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that God knit us together in our mother's womb but those were just words (Ps 139). Now I understand it more.  Here I am at the end of my pregnancy and I'm still amazed at the ultrasound we had yesterday. Yes baby is healthy and with all his working parts but I guess that is what baffles me, he has working parts and I had nothing to do with it. I didn't have to think about his kidneys, I didn't have to do anything special so his hands formed. I'm just here eating, drinking, and doing a lot of sleeping but I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary, except those prenatal vitamins. God is doing his work.

There are so many times that I try to make sure that I've done all I can to "help" God in his service. I focus on doing for God instead of just being. Isaac and I read recently in the bible a conversation that God was having with his people. He clearly said, If I needed help, I wouldn't ask you...I have everything. I am reminded that God doesn't need me. He desires me and that is a comforting thought. I was made for his glory. And just like this little one living in my belly, I was fearfully and wonderfully made by him.

The Gingerbread Man

I didn't know the Gingerbread Man existed. I was so surprised when I poured the vanilla into the mix :)
Isaac was out digging in the garden so I had to take a picture to show him

Cake Delivery

I didn't know I had the talent to properly frost a cake...but after being requested I nervously attacked this banana cake. I was surprised at how well I did. Thank you Lord
The woman was very happy when she came to pick it up.

Using Our Resources Well

It is rainy season so Isaac has transformed the back yard into a garden. He is having so much fun digging and planting at night; sunflowers, carrots, beans, squash, potatoes. They are all making a home under the ground. We are excited to eat from our own garden soon!!!
